Miss Lisa tied together social studies and math to create a fun Indian home project. In math the students have been learning about 3 dimensional shapes and in social studies they've been learning about Pilgrims and Indians. The students were given the opportunity to create a 3 dimensional Indian home with their families. In social studies Miss Lisa introduced and talked about the different Indian tribes and the types of homes they built. Instructions for building these homes was sent home and the students chose a style of home to build. The students presented their homes to the class and shared how they were built. The Indian homes will be on display, in the main lobby, until Wednesday!
