Today the kindergartners completed their unit on patterns by celebrating at a pattern party! Everyone was encouraged to dress in as many patterns as they could find for our pattern contest. Students wore patterned ties. socks, shirts, pants, shoes, jewelry and many other pattern items! They loved showing off their patterns to their friends. During math class we counted to see who had the most patterns and crowned two pattern queens! They had on 14 and 18 different patterns. The students also participated in pattern theme songs: The Hokey Pokey and The Limbo. After the songs everyone made a pattern snack with mini marshmallows, chocolate chips and goldfish pretzels. Our pattern party was a huge success and enjoyed by everyone!
