In science we have been learning about ramps. The students participated in ramp building stations last week and worked together to build ramps for marbles, cars, trains and cylinders. Today we applied our knowledge of ramps to nature and went on a walk to look for ramps in nature. We learned that there are ramps EVERYWHERE! The students had the opportunity to use a digital camera to take pictures of the ramps they found and then draw them in their science notebooks. We learned that ramps are very helpful for people who may not be able to step up and down on the curbs.
